Professor Masooda Bashir is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Information Sciences and the Director Social Sciences in Engineering Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Dr. Bashir's research interests are at the crossroads of information technology, psychology, and society, especially how privacy, security, and trust influence users' behavior. Dr. Bashir’s interdisciplinary educational background, industry work, research accomplishments, and leadership experience directing several research programs provides her with the human-centered perspective necessary to research how user psychology and trust affect information privacy and security.
