Seminole Public Library
Jeanette Kennedy, Director of Seminole Public Library, has been in management and education in some form for over 30 years. She is an avid supporter of literacy at all levels, continuing to teach language learners and struggling readers in the public library setting. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in Reading from East Central University, as well as a Master of Science in Library Media from Oklahoma State University. Kennedy understands the challenges of the many faces of library patrons, both public and private, and is working to find a solution to some of the problems with everyone’s main goal in mind- literacy and all that entails. She became director of Seminole Public Library in June of 2015 and has been building a literacy program and growing the library in all directions.
