Dawn Nelson
Dawn Nelson is the Library Media Specialist at Oak View Elementary School in Maple Grove, MN. There she shares her passion for technology, books, libraries, and learning with staff and students engaged with iPads, Chromebooks, and STEM learning. She has been a teacher-librarian and program coordinator in both elementary and secondary schools. Current projects and interests include equity and the digital divide in education, STEM learning tools and activities, and student engagement in a digital world. She is a Past-President of MEMO, (now ITEM/ Information and Technology Educators of Minnesota). Besides her day job, she enjoys music, cooking, sailing, and spending time with friends and family. She loves learning by reading on LinkedIn and Twitter and occasionally tweets as @dawnrnelson or for her library as @OakHuskies.
