Elaine Meyer

User Experience Librarian
MCLS (Midwest Collaborative for Library Services)

Elaine Meyer is the User Experience Librarian for MCLS (Midwest Collaborative for Library Services in Lansing, Michigan. Her work focuses on providing a better user experience for library websites, library databases and other websites that support libraries (like MCLS!). At MCLS, she is the project manager, user experience designer and content wrangler for the MCLS website. She also co-publishes the monthly MCLS newsletter, writes surveys to gather member feedback, teaches UX related classes, and works on other user focused projects as needed, such as working with the Library of Michigan on MeL.org. Elaine graduated from the University of Michigan School of Information in 2009 with specializations in both LIS (Library and Information Science) and HCI (Human Computer Interaction).
