Faith Burns

Interim Manager
Durham County Library

Faith Burns is the Interim Manager at Durham County Library's Main Library. She is a 2015 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Information and Library Science and a 2010 graduate of Duke University. She is the project coordinator for an LSTA award, funding the "Teen Tech Learning Lab - Where Science and Imagination Collide!"  As the Teen Librarian at Main Library Faith ran Maker/STEAM programming for teens, as well as a large tutoring program, and programs that allow students to engage critically with the world around them. She is a passionate advocate for social justice in libraries, and works primarily with underserved and underrepresented young people. When she's not exploring robotics, or coding, or gaming with her teens, she likes to hang out with her husband and their dachshund, Humphrey.
