Making disparate systems talk to each other is one of my favorite challenges. As the Systems Librarian at Elon University my responsibilities cover data wrangling, systems analysis, and working with the campus Maker Hub as an outreach librarian. I have been working with data standardization techniques since graduate school, and taught an OpenRefine workshop at NCSU Libraries’ Data Science and Visualization Institute for Librarians in April 2017; and again at Code4Lib 2018. Previously, I was a SAS programmer, and opened bookstores.
