Joseph Deodato is the Digital User Services Librarian at Rutgers University where he applies insights from user research to the planning, design, and evaluation of digital library services. Toward this end, he works closely with librarians, IT staff, and vendors to improve the functionality and effectiveness of various library systems in order to provide a seamless, consistent, and engaging online user experience. Joseph has published and presented on a variety of topics related to library technology including discovery tools, next-generation catalogs, and usability testing.
