Kathryn Silberger
Kathryn Silberger is the Senior Librarian for Digital Content Services at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. For the past 25 years she has been responsible for the selection, implementation and administration of the Library’s electronic systems and resources, and the integration of Library resources with the campus course management system. She has a deep understanding of the challenges in collection management between an ILS and the ERM, with expertise in uncovering ways to tackle unmet needs in collection analysis. In her current role, she is a collaborating with the development team at ProQuest, building Intota, a cloud-based library services platform (LSP). Since April 2012 she has served as one of the lead librarians from Marist, providing input to ProQuest regarding features and functionality that will address the pain points libraries face today with current ILS solutions. Marist College, a recognized leader in the use of technology for enhanced teaching and learning was the first Beta customer for Intota Assessment, a best in class library collection analytics service. Regular development partner meetings and sharing of best practices from other leading institutions fosters additional insight and further establishes Kathryn as an expert in this subject area. A Fulbright recipient, she has published in the professional literature, presented at national and regional conferences, and served on several committees with the local Library Resources Council. Kathryn holds a BA in Political Science and an MLIS from University of Texas at Austin.
