Liz White
Liz joined the British Library in 2013 and led the development of its Living Knowledge vision, setting out the British Library’s ambition to be the most open, creative and innovative institution of its kind by the time of its 50th anniversary in 2023. Liz also established the Living Knowledge Network, an innovative partnership of 22 major public libraries across the UK working with the British Library, National Library of Scotland and National Library of Wales to connect knowledge, people and ideas. During 2018-19, Liz is leading a scoping study commissioned by Arts Council England and Carnegie Trust UK to test the rationale and feasibility of a single digital presence for public libraries in the UK.
Liz is a Board Trustee and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She has an MA in English Literary Studies from the University of Durham and an MBA from Imperial College London.
