Nancy Herther
Nancy Herther has worked as a research consultant, writer, editor and now academic librarian. She is currently working as a Social Sciences Librarian at the University of Minnesota Libraries, Twin Cities campus. She has been leading workshops and doing individual counseling on finding funding since starting at the University in the 1980s and contiunues to do pro bono work for non-profits and other groups seeking funding as well. Her approach stresses innovative and nontraditional approaches in this time of increasingly tight foundation/government funding for research and social services.
She is a former columnist and still frequent writer for Online/Searcher as well as Information Today's NewsBreaks and Against the Grain. She is currenly the President of the University of Minnesota Chapter of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society; and serves on the Board of the Minnesota Coalition for Government Information.
