Chairperson
Emerging Technologies Committee of the District of Columbia Library Association (DCLA)

The Emerging Technologies Committee of the District of Columbia Library Association (DCLA) is a group of technology enthusiasts with library and archival backgrounds that are interested in emerging technologies in library and information science. We share our interests by writing articles, conducting presentations, and producing webinars for the Association and the library community. Made up of five members, we meet once a month to plan, research, organize and share information. Qaddafi Sabree is the Systems Director and Emerging Technologies Chairperson for DCLA. His responsibilities include maintaining the Association’s web page, systemizing electronic content, and ensuring that the best tools are used for disseminating information. As a graduate of the University of Maryland’s MIM (Master of Information Management) program, Qaddafi has studied information architecture, information networks, as well as managing technology in organizations.
