Richard Loomis is currently the Digital Services Manager at Somerset County Library System of New Jersey. His duties are to investigate New/Emerging technologies and to develop the digital user experiences of the patrons in support of the services offered by the Library System. In his previous positions, he has taught classes, provided reference services, developed websites/mobile apps, managed computers and networks and even worked on a Bookmobile. He has an interest in various technologies, but has been focusing on Open Source solutions to customize both user and staff experiences at the library and is working with small form computers. He has been recognized as a leader in library technology on both the State and National level.
