Sara Cardello
Education Specialist

Originally from North Carolina, Sara has been living in Washington D.C. since 2008. After graduating with a B.A. in Art History from UNC-Chapel Hill, Sara worked as an art historian at the Museo Oaxaqueno in Oaxaca, Mexico. She continued her studies at Tufts University receiving her M.A. in Art History and Museum Education, while working at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Since moving to the District she has worked in Museum Education at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, The National Building Museum, Brent Elementary School, and the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center prior to heading up the education department at Smithsonian Libraries in 2015. As Education Specialist, Sara has transformed the many thousands of digitized images into flexible classroom content through her I See Wonder project. |
