After earning a Ph.D. in History and teaching for several years, I was hired as a librarian in the History and Special Collections Department of the Grand Rapids Public Library. There I focused primarily on maintaining its digital platforms and developing a born-digital preservation program for its growing archive. More recently, was hired into our Information Systems department to administer all of GRPL's internal platforms, develop digital solutions organization-wide, and champion Knowledge Management for the organization.
