Danielle Milam

Director, Development & Planning
Las Vegas Clark County Library District

Danielle Patrick Milam has served as Development and Planning Director for the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and LVCCLD Foundation since 2008.  Trained in international economic development and urban planning, she joined the public library world in 1998 as Development Director for the San Antonio Library Foundation.  In 2000, she became Sr. VP/Program and Development for the Urban Libraries Council, an association of large public libraries in the U.S. and Canada.  Throughout her library career she has developed conferences, research, leadership and grant projects that position the public library as essential to individual and community well-being.  Her most recent publication, with Marc Futterman of CIVICTechnologies, Inc., is “Core Customer Intelligence:  Public Library Reach, Relevance and Resilience,” a study of how ten libraries are using hyperlocal information and big data analytics to shape services and stay relevant in rapidly changing times.
