Iain Lowe
Iain Lowe guides product design at Bibliocommons, which provides solutions to help public library patrons engage with their libraries and their library community. Iain has been describing and designing software and web applications for over twenty years. He has worked on not-for-profit, ecommerce, ebook, and government projects and is dedicated to ensuring that humans are at the center of any design strategy. At Bibliocommons, Iain has led the BiblioCore catalog product through a responsive redesign and is continually seeking ways to help patrons to both appreciate the value that the library brings while inviting them to use the library as a safe online space to share their opinions and ideas. Based in Toronto, Canada, Iain was a leader of the local Interaction Design Association chapter and a mentor to local UX designers. Iain is a father of four talented kids, an amateur woodworker, and very amateur guitar player. He also likes potato chips.
