Kimberly Silk is Principal of Brightsail Research, an advisory firm providing organizations with solutions for using evaluation, data, and research to inform strategic planning, support advocacy and demonstrate impact. For nearly a decade Kim has worked with libraries to help them develop metrics and evaluation techniques to demonstrate social outcomes in communities. She has authored multiple works on how libraries can use evaluation to show economic and social value. She curates all the library impact studies and articles she can at the Library Research Network, an open, web-based repository of research relevant to libraries. She earned her MLS at the University of Toronto and a Graduate Certificate in Evaluation from the University of Victoria. She lives with her family in Toronto, Canada.
