Mary Ellen Icaza is the Virtual Services Manager for Montgomery County Public Libraries in Rockville, Maryland. She manages the library system's web and social media presence, as well as the system's new Sharepoint Intranet site. Previously, Mary Ellen worked as a project manager for a government consulting company on the Medicaid.gov website, and as a web producer for Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland. Mary Ellen has a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is interested in connecting users to information online, promoting library services and resources to the community, and using technology in new ways.
