Robert Laws has worked in academic and public libraries since 1995, beginning as a student assistant at George Mason University. Since 1998 he has been involved in a variety of information technology projects in libraries including website development, application development, metadata creation for archives in the EAD and OpenAccess standards, implementation of RFID technologies, and multimedia skills instruction. Since 2007 he has been working and living in Doha, Qatar for Georgetown University Qatar.
