Shilpa Karnik is the Associate Director of Emerging Technologies in St. John's University Libraries in New York. She holds an M.L.S and a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics. A member of the Libraries' Web and Emerging Technologies committee, Karnik plays a key role in exploring, leveraging, evaluating, and prototyping tools and services related to library resources, cyberinfrastructure (ILS, website, discovery tools, etc.) and mobile technology. She likes to be challenged with the complexity and dynamism of connections between users and technology based systems.
