Jill Konieczko joined ZAI in 2016. A subject matter expert in the library field, she provides support and oversight for ZAI’s library services contracts. Ms. Konieczko brings more than 25 years of library experience, including library management and reference librarian positions at U.S. News & World Report, the U.S. National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as well as training, marketing, and sales positions within the library market with Elsevier, ProQuest, Dialog, and LexisNexis. Her library experience includes establishing and managing new libraries for NOAA and for the Chilean ministry of the environment, through a UNEP-sponsored program, as well as managing library, fact-checking, and data services at U.S. News & World Report, which included work on the well-known America’s Best Colleges and America’s Best Hospitals annual rankings reports. In her nontraditional library experience, Ms. Konieczko led marketing to the library market at LexisNexis, and at Elsevier managed marketing programs for libraries and librarians in the U.S. Government and Canada.

Ms. Konieczko earned her MLS degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and has a BA in International Politics & Foreign Service from the Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the Special Libraries Association, and has served in different SLA leadership positions including LMD Chair and, currently, Maryland Chapter Co-Director. She has published articles on library marketing and library management in several SLA publications as well as in Information Today, KM World, and Information Research.
