Rex is the Director of Library & Learning Resources Services at North Shore Community College. He previously held positions at the Simmons University Library, including Reference Librarian, Head of Research Services, and Associate Director of Collections & Information Services. He also has been an adjunct faculty member at the Simmons University Graduate School of Library & Information Science, teaching Reference & Information Services and Online Information Services courses online and face-to-face, as well as several Continuing Education courses. Rex is coming off a year of service as the President of the Massachusetts Commonwealth Consortium of Libraries of Public Higher Education Institutions (MCCLPHEI), and he is the Chair of the newly-formed academic library network, Higher Education Libraries of Massachusetts (HELM). Rex is a creative innovator and a staunch believer in strategic, evidence-based practice.
