Picture of Nichole AshwoodNichole Ashwood is a teacher-librarian at Stafford Senior High School with Stafford County Public Schools. This is her third year in the library science field working at a school she once attended as a student. Nichole is the school webmaster, Coding Club sponsor, and Horticulture Club sponsor. She is striving to build a makerspace program with her library department peers that answers the big "so what?!"

Nichole completed her MLIS at the University of Washington in 2013, two certificates in horticulture from Edmonds Community College (WA) in 2014, and a BFA in Art Education at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. She served six years active duty in the US Navy as a Fire Controlman Petty Officer Second Class aboard the USS Momsen (DDG-92). Nichole completed several Navy training schools and maintained the Mk 99 Fire Control System. She is plagued by an endless desire for lifelong learning and hopes to pass this on to her peers and students.
