Vickie Drake is the Health Sciences and Faculty Services Librarian at Montgomery College's Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus. She has been a Branch Manager for the Arlington County Libraries, the Visual and Social Media Librarian at the Rockville Campus Library, the Learning Resources Center Manager/Librarian at Strayer University in Washington DC, a Branch Operations Manager at UT-Austin, and the Evening and Sunday Supervisor at UT-Austin and UT-Dallas and has knowledge of most areas of library work including technical services, access services, and information services. She has extensive experience in management of libraries and information agencies and is interested in organization efficiency, conquering dysfunction, and improving the customer experience. Her undergraduate degrees are in history and anthropology and her Master's in Library Science is from the University of North Texas, where she also earned a certification in management.
