Picture of Richard HuffineRichard Huffine is the Chief of Library and Public Information Services for the FDIC. He was formerly a librarian for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and prior to that the Senior Director for the Federal Government Market for ProQuest. Prior to joining ProQuest, Richard was Library Director for the U.S. Geological Survey for 7 years. Richard has had a 25-year career in the U.S. Federal Government including time at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of the Interior and the General Services Administration. Richard has coordinated efforts across several large organizations to provide library and information services to research organizations. Richard is a graduate of Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and has served in leadership positions in both the Special Libraries Association and American Library Association.
