Austin Stroud is a full-time lecturer in the graduate Department of Library and Information Science at Indiana University Indianapolis. He teaches a wide variety of coursework, including public library management and digital services management, and is currently developing a course on Python for the program. He previously worked as a public library director in Indiana, and has taught for Ivy Tech Community College, University of Kentucky, Valdosta State University, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Austin has completed an MLS from Indiana University Indianapolis, an MSEd in Instructional Systems Technology and BS in Labor Studies from Indiana University, an AS in Software Development from Ivy Tech Community College, and is currently working on his dissertation toward a Ph.D. in Information Studies at Dominican University. His dissertation focuses on how high-level programming languages are used in ALA-accredited online MLIS programs. His other general research interests are in public libraries, library technology, and instructional design.
