His work focuses on digital resources and services, which include managing the library's Innovation Space. Sal also produces and co-hosts the library's weekly podcast since 2018, which discusses programming and services at the library and provides community outreach. As part of his role at the Miller Business Center within MCPL, Sal has been involved in initiatives like Strictly Business and the Women's EXPO, aimed at promoting economic development on Long Island. He co-authored "Supporting Local Businesses and Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age" for Libraries Unlimited, detailing how librarians and libraries can better serve the business community, offering specific guidance on everything from information resources-including books, databases, and free online sites-to programming, special events, marketing, and outreach. Sal received the Morningstar Public Librarian Support Award in 2013, recognizing his contributions to public librarianship.
