Bruce Barnet, cofounder and Director of MindCare Store, developed a passion for senior solutions after his father in law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2003.  His college age children created a networking event in New York City with the proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.  As the event grew to national prominence, Bruce consulted with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America for Memory Care Facility building and equipment standards.  Bruce collaborated with author of “How to Alzheimer’s Proof Your Home” and ultimately launched The Alzheimer’s Store online.  Bruce continued to present and engage with Alzheimer’s Association national campaigns, state chapters, technology fairs, occupational therapy conventions and more to educate caregivers and healthcare professionals about solutions to better care for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients.  MindCare solutions are currently part of the traveling Cooper Hewitt’s showcase, managed by Smithsonian Institute.
